Indian Rummy is like any other mind game; it takes lots of skill, experience and patience to master the craft. The 13 card game of Rummy is a very popular game in India, being played by any Tom, Dick and Harry; however that doesn't make Rummy an easy game of card. It is a very simple game, but a difficult game to win. Generally, two packs of cards are used to play the game among five to six players. Players have to make their moves very wisely, observing each and every move of the opponent with a hawk eye precision, no matter where you play, offline or online Every old timer, veterans in the game of rummy approach it like a game of chess, keeping up your defences while looking for an opportune time to attack(draw or discard). With rummy you have the added benefit and advantage of keeping the defence (cards) close to your heart. While playing online rummy, two very important elements or actions that decide the ebb and flow of the game are drawing and discarding, both of which are compulsory. Once the card is dealt to all the players, the remaining cards are kept facing downward, allowing none of the players to see them. Out of these cards a joker is randomly chosen. Then to start the game, the first player will randomly draw a card from the remaining cards (after dealing 13 cards to every player), which he can either use (to make the melds or sequence or trips) or discard. The next player can draw the card discarded by the player before him or draw a card from the separated bunch. Well this process of drawing and discarding goes on till a player comes up with the winning meld or combination. There is a lot of nitty-gritty involved with the game, and a player has to understand and comprehend them very well to win consistently. It's all about keeping a cool head. In an online game of Indian rummy, skill and experience counts a lot; but still there are certain fundamental facets of the game that can make you a winner or a loser. For once, let's forget about the technicalities and focus on the deeper aspects of the mind to win a game of rummy. Staying level-headed is the key to be a steady winner in online rummy. Sometimes, you should know the right time to give up, instead of pushing your luck, when you are losing repeatedly, game after game. Remember, you cannot control your luck, but you can always have a handle on controlling your moves to play the game. If you start losing, it is best to give up; it just might not be your day. The same goes for winning too, as sometimes people push their good luck too much to the point of no return. You should know when to quit a game, even when you are winning. So the skills and experience apart, you need to have a great deal of self control and patience, along with the ability to observe the sway of the game to be a winner in online rummy.
